EXECUTIVE Suggestions. . .
- Keep important papers and receipts with you, if at all possible. They may be needed if you have a claim.
- Make sure all flammables and aerosol cans are disposed of and not accidentally packed in the shipment.
- Make sure you clean and defrost your freezer and refrigerator 24 hours prior to packing. It needs to be completely dried out to prevent mold and mildew damage.
- Jewelry, money, stamp and coin collections should be packed by you prior to your shipment. They are not insured under our certificate. Make sure you keep them in a safe place.
- It is never wise to leave valuables of any kind (money, wallets, jewelry, etc.) laying around. Keep items of this nature in a secure place.
- Be sure the movers are aware of items in attics, basements or garages. It is very easy to overlook or forget these areas, and items that are not inventoried will not be insured. If possible, check the house after everything is removed just to be sure nothing has been overlooked.
